The University Experience Survey (UES) give current university students the opportunity to talk about their university experience. The results from the survey are used to help both universities and government improve teaching and learning in Australia.

The focus of the survey is on understanding the student experience through measuring the levels of engagement and satisfaction of current higher education undergraduate students in Australia. The first University Experience Survey was conducted in 2012 and was the largest ever survey current university students in Australia with over 110,000 responses. Results from that survey can be seen here (www.ues.edu.au/results).

In 2013 the Department of Industry, Innovation, Climate Change, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIICCSTRE) have engaged Graduate Careers Australia, in conjunction with The Social Research Centre to work with universities and key stakeholders to administer the UES. The work is overseen by Project Advisory Group which includes representatives and experts from across the sector. A list of participating Universities can be found by selecting the menu on the right.

The administration of the 2013 UES looks to improve upon the foundation provided by the 2012 UES, while still providing robust, generalisable and timely survey data and reports appropriate for use by DIICCSTRE and universities.
